Hey {{first_name}},
I want to tell you about a new mini-series I’ve just launched on the Career Confidence Podcast.
It’s called Real Women, Real Talk.
This was inspired from something I’ve noticed after coaching so many brilliant women inside the Bold Moves Accelerator.
The most valuable conversations are rarely the polished ones.
They’re the honest ones.
The ones where women say what they’re actually working through. The career doubts. The pivots. The messy middle. The moments where they’ve had to back themselves before they felt fully ready.
So that’s what this series is.
No fluff or highlight reel. Just real conversations with real women making bold moves in their careers.
My first guest is someone I’ve admired for years.
Rebecca Lewis, or Bec, is someone I placed into a role more than eight years ago. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching her build an incredible career.
She started in marketing, moved into digital, led big pieces of change at Vocus, and is now stepping into her next chapter in AI.
She’s a Mum, a leader. She’s curious, confident, and not afraid to move before every piece of the plan is perfectly mapped out.
When I asked her where her confidence comes from, she said something that really stayed with me.
“If I’m in a room, I’m there because someone saw something to put me there. Why get in your head about it?”
Honestly, that line alone is worth the listen.
There were three things from this conversation I really want you to sit with.
1. Your career does not need to make perfect sense on paper
Bec’s career has not been a straight line.
She’s moved from marketing, to digital, to large-scale change, and now into AI.
But when you hear her talk about it, you can see the thread.
She followed the problems she was interested in solving. She stayed curious. She said yes to the next thing before she had every answer.
And I think so many women need to hear this.
You do not need to have your entire next chapter figured out before you move.
Sometimes your career only makes sense when you look backwards.
The job is to keep paying attention to what energises you, what you’re good at, and where the market is moving.
That is how bold careers are built.
2. You do not have to choose between motherhood and ambition
When I asked Bec what career advice she wished she could unlearn, she said this:
“I always thought that if I was a mum, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do now. I thought I’d have to choose.”
She doesn’t believe that anymore.
She wants other women to know they don’t have to believe it either.
You can be ambitious.
You can lead.
You can be visible.
You can do meaningful, challenging work.
And you can be a present, loving mum at the same time.
Not perfectly (no such thing anyway). Not with balance every single day. Not without support.
But yes, absolutely.
3. You do not need to be an AI expert to start learning AI
Bec’s advice for anyone feeling behind with AI was simple.
Find someone who has been playing with it for a while and sit down with them.
Ask questions.
Get curious.
Start somewhere.
Because the women I see moving well through this shift are not the ones who know every tool.
They’re the ones willing to try.
They’re using AI to speed up the boring parts of work, so they can spend more time on the things that actually matter.
The thinking, strategy, leadership and the human part.
That is what will keep making them valuable.
So here’s your challenge this week.
Ask yourself Bec’s question.
If you’re in the room, if you’ve been given the role, if you’ve been asked to lead the project, ask yourself:
“Someone saw something to put me here. What is it?”
Then own it.
Because so many women waste energy questioning whether they deserve the room they’re already sitting in.
This week, I want you to stop questioning it.
Look for the evidence.
Then back yourself.
You can listen to this week’s episode here:
And once you’ve listened, reply and tell me this:
What is one thing from Bec’s story you’re going to take into your week?
I’d genuinely love to know.
With confidence,
Georgie 💜

P.S. If Bec’s story resonated with you and you’re ready to make your next bold move, applications are now open for the August cohort of my Bold Move 60 Day Career Accelerator.
This is the program Bec went through, and it’s where I help ambitious women get clear on what they want next, position themselves properly, and start being seen for the opportunities they actually want.
If you’d like the details, you can read more about it here
Or reply to this email or send me a DM on LinkedIn, and I’ll send them through.
